WHAT IS EPILIGHT HAIR REMOVAL SYSTEM?

Epilight Hair Removal System is a non- invasive light therapy device which is specially designed to eliminate undesired hair from all the parts of your body.

HOW IS EPILIGHT DIFFERENT FROM THE LASERS?

Epilight’s innovative patented technology allows your therapist to customise treatment specifically for your hair colour, texture and body location.

This flexible approach cannot be achieved with any laser or non-invasive method currently available.

HOW DOES EPILIGHT REMOVE HAIR?

Epilight uses pulsed-light to remove the hair and impair hair regrowth.

- A cool gel and hand held treatment unit are gently applied to the skin.

- In a flash, pulses of light safely penetrate the skin and disable hundreds of the hair follicles simultaneously.

- When the gel is removed, much of the hair is wiped off with it.

The remaining hair in the treated ares falls out within a week or two.

CAN ALL HAIR COLOURS AND PARTS OF THE BODY BE TREATED?

The system’s unique design offers you customised treatment, according to your hair colour, texture, and location of the body. Epilight can remove all hair colours from all parts of your body including the chin, upper lip, cheeks, legs, arms, underarms and back as well as sensitive areas like ears, nose, chest and bikini line.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE REQUIRED?

This varies depending on your hair colour and location on the body. Several treatments may be needed, with each session usually lasting 10 – 30 minutes.

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS WITH THE EPILIGHT HAIR REMOVAL SYSTEM?

You experience some short-term side effects. This may include slight reddening of the skin or local swelling which goes away within a few days or a couple of hours.

WHAT IS EPILIGHT TREATMENT LIKE?

When Epilight pulse of light is delivered to the hair, you may feel a mild sting or pinch similar to the snap of a rubber band. No local anaesthesia or medication for pain will be required.

ARE THERE ANY RESTRICTIONS ON MY ACTIVITY AFTER TREATMENT?

You can return to work the same day and resume all regular activities. It is advised to limit sun exposure, which is always a good idea.

WHO ARE CANDIDATES FOR TREATMENT?

Most people may be treated with Epilight Hair Removal System. However, check with your beauty therapist at your consultation visit.

HOW DOES EPILIGHT TREATMENT COMPARE WITH ELECTOLYSIS?

Epilight is a tedious, invasive, and painful process that involves inserting a needle into each hair follicle and delivering an electrical charge to destroy them one at a time. Electrolysis often requires years of treatments at regular intervals. Epilight non-invasively treats hundreds of the hair follicles simultaneously. So, in a few minutes Epilight can effectively treat an area that would take over an hour in electrolysis.

HOW DOES EPILIGHT COMPARE WITH COMMONLY USED HAIR REMOVAL METHODS?

Shaving, waxing and depilatory creams are temporary methods that must be repeated on a regular basis. Hair removal with Epilght offers longer lasting results.
